If your tip screws in — and your electrode screws in as well — you’ve probably got an AG60-style torch
You’ll often see these on 50–60 amp machines — but not all

If your parts don’t screw in and just push in → PT31
If it’s a bit of a mix — tip pushes on, electrode screws in → SG51
If it’s a big chunky torch → P80
How this torch works (simple)
The electrode screws in first
Then the cutting tip screws in over the top of that
Then the ceramic screws in over the top
So you’ve got three parts that all screw in
Where people go wrong
Sometimes you can get away with just changing the tip or the electrode and leaving the ceramic
But if the ceramic’s got a scratch or a cut in it, you’re better off changing that as well
I don’t just change one
I do tip and electrode together
Cuts way better
If you mix a new bit with an old one
It might work for a minute… then the cut turns to crap pretty quickly
